Technicolor Dreams Smokey & Bright Tutorial ft. bh Cosmetics 120 Eyeshadow Palette

Dear Beautiful You,

I LOVE COLOR! Here is another bright look for you inspired by my bh 120 color eyeshadow palette. I decided to dip my brush in a color I've never used (a somewhat frosty red shade) and then I was off to the races and came up with this look. People ask me where I come up with my inspiration and I kind of chuckle because my head is FILLED with colors and ideas and FUN so I just play and let the look create itself. It's a very organic process with me. I've never looked through magazines for inspiration. I actually rarely ever open a magazine! Anyway, hope you enjoy this tutorial and I beg you to incorporate SOME color into your look. Perhaps you are a bit timid to go all out like me but feel free to experiment and have fun. I dare you!

Date Night Makeup YouTube Collab with Makeupmindgirls

Dear Beautiful You!

Well, this is exciting! Not only am I posting two days in a row but today is an extra special post because it is my first time doing a collaboration video. Shadow and Tonya from Makeupmindgirls on YouTube asked if I would be interested in collaborating with them to create a date night makeup look while they come up with cute date night outfit ideas. Being the giddy five year old that I am, I jumped all over the idea and knew exactly what I would do. In fact, I had already created this look and wasn't sure what I would call it or use it for. PERFECT TIMING. This date night look is comprised of mostly drugstore products (the eyes and lips at least) and is very simple to recreate. I really enjoyed using this Sultry Seductress Quad from L'Oreal the pigmentation was on point and the eyeshadows had the perfect amount of dazzle for a night out! As far as the lipstick- I HAD to incorporate a pop of color but feel free to use ANY shade that suits you best. I love Pink Pop by the Maybelline Vivid's collection because it stands out, is creamy, and leaves a stain behind (I hate reapplying lip products when I'm out!). Enjoy the look and let me know if you have any requests or questions. Thank you!

You Shine: Carli's Mermaid Inspired Prom Makeup

Dear Beautiful You,

IT'S TIME TO MEET CARLI! I had the honor of doing her makeup for her high school prom and she requested a colorful mermaid inspired look. If you know me you know I LOVE color so when I met my canvas I was thrilled. A fresh faced, hazel eyed beauty asking ME to do something other than a neutral smokey eye- YAY!!!! TIME TO GET CREATIVE. Her skin was flawless, eyebrows trimmed to perfection, and eyes begging for some mermaid-colored hues. Though Carli is a dancer and is used to stage makeup she did not want a cakey over done look. She wanted her skin to look glowy, healthy, natural and not too made up (what's more beautiful than THAT?!). All of the products I used to achieve this look will be listed below. If you would like me to create a tutorial then simply ask otherwise I have even bigger fish to fry and tutorials to edit. Here are the few photos I was able to capture (we were slightly pressed for time towards the end). ENJOY! (I definitely did).

Review: Peter Thomas Roth Firmx™ Peeling Gel

Dear Beautiful You,

AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Time to present to you my favorite skin care product of ALL TIME. Now that is a bold statement and it IS to be taken seriously. The Peter Thomas Roth Firm Gel Peel will leave your skin feeling and looking refreshed, soft, radiant, CLEAN, and absolutely beautiful. I know it isn't "good" to touch your face but it is so difficult to contain myself after using this product. The recommended use is between 1-3 times a week depending on your skin type (though this product is meant for ALL skin types- yay!). If you have oily skin you can get away with using this up to 3 times a week while my dry skin hunnies should probably limit the use of this magic gel to 1-2 times a week (this means me :(). I WISH I could use this every day. I filmed a review and demo and I strongly suggest you press play so you can begin to understand why I am so in love and why you will be too!
 Questions & Answers:
  • How often do I use this?

I have sensitive and dry skin so I use this about 1 to 2 times a week. If you have more oily prone skin then I suggest using it 2 to 3 times a week.

  • When do I apply this?

After washing your face with your daily face wash. I am in love with Purity by Philosophy (which doubles as my makeup remover).

  • What does this product do?

Rolls, lifts, and sweeps away dead skin cells as soon as you begin massaging into your skin. This helps uncover a smooth, fresh, new complexion without drying, irritating, or causing undue stress to your skin. It helps unclog pores and leaves you with a RADIANT LOOK! YES YES YES!

  • How long do I massage it onto my skin?

1 to 2 minutes and for extra exfoliation let it sit (dead skin and all) for an extra minute then rinse with water and pat dry.

  • Where can I purchase this product?

Sephora and Ulta stores or online.

  • How much does this product cost?

$48

There you have it! I hope you give this a try and if you have other exfoliants that you love please do share them with me since there is nothing like the feeling of fresh, clean skin :) Hope this was helpful and comment below if you have any additional questions.

Stay Beautiful and FRESH FACED!
