Duo-chrome Coral ft. OCC Creme Colour Concentrate in Grandma and Hum Pigment

Dear Beautiful You,

Today I bring to you an inspired look! I saw Cora from Vintage or Tacky using these OCC products and I knew that being the orange/coral lover that I am I NEEDED them in my collection. Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics is a brand I am not all that familiar with but have always wanted to try. I purchased the OCC Creme Colour Concentrate in the shade Grandma (gotta love the name) and the Loose Colour Pigment in Hum (which is being discontinued so get it while you can from Sephora.com). When you put these two together they become a pigmented duochrome match made in heaven-OH MY GOODNESS! This look is not for my natural/neutral eyeshadow lovers, this is for those of you who really love experimenting with COLORS like yours truly. My friend recently shared with me that she is loving MINT and CORAL together so stay tuned because I'm thinking of creating a look with those two colors. For now let's jump into the photos and tutorial- these colors SCREAM summer and are bound to wake you up!

Minty Fresh: Double Winged Liner Tutorial ft. Stila Turquoise Eyeliner

Dear Beautiful You,

I'm back with another BRIGHT pop of color. First, I brought you the Periwinkle Wings look/tutorial and shortly after I was inspired by another INCREDIBLE Stila eyeliner in the shade Turquoise (which definitely appears more MINTY than turquoise to me). The Stila periwinkle eyeliner was a liquid and this eyeliner is a smudge stick. I personally prefer the liquid but believe that BOTH types are worth purchasing. It simply depends on your preference. I want to keep branching out and trying different colored eyeliners because looks like these are PERFECT for this time of year. If you aren't daring enough to wear this eyeliner as a wing on your upper lashline then smudge a bit on your lower lashline! Either way it will be bold and fun so enjoy and let me know if you decide to give this try. I already know I've converted hundreds of you! HAHA! It makes me happy to share what I love in hopes that you'll fall in love as well.
Products Used:

Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden
Too Faced Matte Eye Palette
Fresh Linen e/s (lid)
Inglot Matte Eyeshadow
Stila Turquoise Smudge Stick Eyeliner
Stila Liquid Liner in Alloy
Tarte Smolder Eyes in Gold
Lancome Hypnose Drama Mascara

-MAC Please Me Lipstick

-MAC Face & Body in C1
-Tarte Smooth Operator Setting Powder
-Benefit Hervana Blush
-MAC Prolongwear Concealer in NW20
-Bareminerals Concealer in Well-Rested

-Essie First Timer with Sally Hansen Fuzzy Top Coat in FUZZ-SEA

I really love STILA eyeliners and I thought it would be fun to pair Stila's ALLOY with Stila's TURQUOISE because I think gray and mint are beautiful together. Of course I wanted to incorporate a bronzy/gold color so thank you Tarte for your incredibly gorgeous and pigmented smolder eyes pencil in Gold. Don't be afraid to put different kinds of colors together- it is my favorite thing to do and I am really happy with the way this turned out.

Stay Beautiful!

May Must Haves+Tips for Eyeglass Wearers!

Dear Beautiful You,

June is here! Don't ask me how it's already summer time but it is and that means its time for me to share with you products that give me that glowy, healthy, just got back from vacation look I crave around this time of year. I have steered clear of anything that provides a MATTE finish so here I have cream blushes, a glossy lipstick, and a luminous foundation to show you along with some of my other FAVORITE products. In other news, I recently purchased some spankin' new ORANGE eyeglasses by Dolce & Gabbana and I would like to share a few tips in writing  (as well as in the video) for eyeglass wearers everywhere (I will also be making a separate video for eyeglass makeup soon!). Scroll below for the video, products used AND makeup tips for eyeglass wearers!

Dear Eyeglass Wearers,
1. DO try wearing MATTE eyeshadows as opposed to shadows with TOO much sparkle/glitter/sheen since it can look kind of harsh and distracting (this is simply a suggestion if you wanna glam it up and go all out feel free but for every day matte eyeshadows look lovely behind those lenses).

2. DO avoid wearing thick/dark black eyeliner especially on the water line and lower lash line. Another suggestion. This can make your eyes appear very small, squinty, and harsh. Unless you are going for that look I recommend using a bright eyeliner for your lower lash line such as Mally's Eyeliner in Bronze or a light champagne color or simply a coat of your favorite mascara on the bottom lashes and call it a day.

3. DO curl you lashes and apply mascara. People may think that wearing NO eye makeup with glasses is fine because your eyes are hiding behind the lenses but this isn't necessarily the case, your eyes ARE still visible and there are easy steps you can take to make sure they stand out in the best way. WEAR MASCARA. Don't skip this step. Curl your lashes before hand- you don't want them to be flat and hit your lenses every time you blink.

4. DO avoid wearing false eyelashes unless they are accent lashes because it can be very over powering and UNCOMFORTABLE every time you blink and the falsies hit the lenses.

5. DO try some fun bright colors on the lower lash line. Don't be afraid of a pop of color- just because you're wearing glasses doesn't mean you HAVE TO keep it neutral all the time. A little bit of turquoise, mint, or even purple never hurt anyone just be sure these eyeliners are bright and not too dark.

6. DO make sure you fill in/shape your eyebrows (if necessary) they definitely will show and having your eyeglasses on makes them stand out even more so groom them properly so they stand out in the best way.

7. DO avoid a dramatic smokey eye unless you want your eyes to get lost. A subtle smokey eye is suitable but too black and dark of a smokey eye will really make yours eyes look small and squinty. Light and fresh eyeshadows (think creams, taupes, and champagne colors) are ideal for brighting your eyes and making you look more awake.

8. DO play up your lips, especially if you keep the eyes natural. Make your lips the star of the show and experiment with bold colors ;) I think a bold red lip is looks sexy with some sophisticated black-rimmed specks ;)

9. DO wait for your makeup to set (foundation/bb cream/concealer etc). Applying your eyeglasses RIGHT after your foundation/concealer can potentially smear/rub it it off.

10. DO experiment until you find what works for you and what you feel comfortable in and stay tuned for my makeup for eyeglass wearers video that will be up soon!

Hope this was helpful! Please let me know if you have ANY questions and/or requests ;)
Stay Beautiful!

Collab Challenge: Most Neglected Eyeshadow- MAC Sumptuous Olive

Dear Beautiful You,

The lovely Nikki from Nikkipandahat on YouTube asked me to do a collaboration video with her and I was all over it! We decided to go with the theme of "MOST NEGLECTED EYESHADOW" fun huh?! Well, we like a challenge and we love being creative therefore we each chose ONE eyeshadow that we have withheld our love from for FAR TOO LONG. Nikki chose MAC's Mythology (ironically enough I challenged myself to use this eyeshadow too a while back check my Cranberry Lovin' tutorial here) and I chose MAC's Sumptuous Olive (another one of my neglected babies). Off course I paired Sumptuous Olive with two of my other favorite MAC eyeshadows- Amber Lights & Brown Script! I really enjoyed creating this look and adding a pop of color by using my favorite new eyeliner- Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Pencil in Mainline (watch me talk about it here). Enough chatting let's get into the tutorial(s) and photos. ENJOY!
